In the year 1899, Klingenberg Dekoramik was founded in the town of Klingenberg am Main, which is around 70 km south-east of Frankfurt.

It was originally called ‘Albertwerke’, and now looks back upon more than a century of tile manufacturing tradition.

Since 1995, Klingenberg Dekoramik has belonged to the Italian Ricchetti Group, which operates more than nine production sites across Europe.

With a production volume of approximately 1.5 million m2 per annum manufactured using the very latest technology, Klingenberg is one of the leading German producers of unglazed ceramic floor tiles.

More than 25% of production is sold in global export markets; most, however, at 70%, is sold to the German domestic market, where ten sales representatives look after wholesale and tile laying firms, as well as helping architects, planners and large-scale buyers to furnish their buildings.
